Target Trip 6/29

Today I had a random Target trip that turned out pretty good. I got a call from a good friend of mine today and asked if I ever get coupons for dog food or treats. He asked if I could find any deals and let him know.... I believe his wording was, can you get me about 5 bags of treats for under 20 bucks. I think I might have laughed when I agreed to it. I love to show people how coupons can save them tons!!
So my mission was to get:
Dog treats
Juice
Shampoo
If I found other deals - then maybe those too.
So this is what I found:
  • (4) V8 VFusion Juice - $2.99 - $1.50 = $1.49
     - I also had a coupon for buy 2 get 1 free making the 4 of them just $1.11 each
  • (2) Lea N Perrin Thick whir. sauce - $2.60 - $1.00 = $1.60
     - This is not the best price but I found these last 2 coupons and wanted to make sure I used them before they expired, since I use so much of this in sauces.
  • (1) Frenchs Brown Mustard - $1.38 - $.75 = $.63
  • (2) Fuze - $1.02 - $1.00/2 = $.52 each
  • (3) Dannonanimals $2.34 - $1.00 (target q) = $1.34 - $1.00 (man. q) = $.34 each
  • (2) Dove men soap - $4.79 - $4.00 = $.79 each
  • (4) Sensodyne toothpaste - $.99 - 1.00 = FREE
  • (5) Skintimate Shave Gel - $1.97 - $1.00 = $.97 each
  • (2) Sally Hansen Nail Polish - $ 2.69 - $1.00 (target q) = $1.69 - $1.00 (man. q.) = $.69 each
  • (5) Suave Shampoo - $.85 - $.75 (target q.) = $.10 each
  • (5) Suave Cond. - $.85 - $.75 (target q.) = $.10
    - Here is my secret (you might know this one and I might be slow) but I use to ask friends or family to print me coupons well then I would have to buy them ink or I felt bad for doing it - so now I just go to the library. Pay for a print per computer (and they have about 10) and it gets you more coupons if you need them.
  • (16) Purina Dog Treats - Beggin Strips - $2.00 - $4.00/4 = $1.00 each
  • Freestyle Diabetes tester - $17.69 - $17.69 = FREE
    - Remember these can be donated to shelters and other places where people might not be able to afford them.
  • (2) Zantac (24 ct) - $7.59 - $5.00 = $2.59
  • (1) Nexcare - $1.87 - $1.00 (target q.) - $.55 (man. q.) = $.32
My Total before Coupons was - $157.64
My Total Coupons used was - $111.20
Subtotal before tax - $39.57
Total Paid - $46.44

I have to say he was pretty impressed when he came to the door to get his 5 bags of treats for under $20 and I was able to get him 16 bags for $16.00.

  1. Sounds great. How can I show some of my purchases at local grocery stores? I make out paying 9 cents per French's mustards and also was able to get 85 pampers wipes in the hard plastic container's for FREE!!! I also have tabasco, red hot and enough BBQ sauce with razors and pantyliners to last a few years. (5 with the liners). All of these cost under $1 for the razors rest were under a quarter each if not free..... People think I am crazy but need to save with a 3rd child on the way. 85 packages of diapers and 185 packages of wipes for under $300!!! Yeah!!! You are awesome with all of your ideas!! Thank you!
